Truth in Journalism (a.k.a. Horror at Casa de Brock)

Cowabunga, Dudettes and Dudes! Chocochuy reporting for duty and welcoming you to mine first post!

The 80s, Who does not love those radical magical years of tubular badassery? Your mileage may vary, of course, but lets be honest with each other, we all got some of the most radical elements on the comic book realm : Alan Moore, Sane Frank Miller, Ninjas, The Reign of the X-Men, Mature Comics (alas, not everybody was paying attention at what made it shine), Crisis on Infinite Earths (including its consequences) and, my personal favorite, Venom. I dunno about you, my bodacious pals, but there is some magic on good old Edward Brock that, no matter whatever retcon/symbiote change affected him, made him so likeable even though he was a lethal protector bent on eating some spider-brains (an ambrosial dish, apparently). Do not get me wrong, it is not only the symbiote that makes Venom cool but the tubular pathos of our failed journalist, one of weird madness ready to engulf all creation. Well, lets cut the chase, today I was checking the global community and found an exquisite fan-film that not only makes justice to Venom but to the 80s Noir and some French Cinema movement.

Ready your minds for "Truth in Journalism" by Joe Lynch and Adi Shankar.

The premise is very simple, some French guys become pals with Eddie Brock to produce a documentary on the controversial Sin-Eater fiasco. What they do not expect is that they would soon fall into the weird world of Venom. Pictures below might give ya an idea.

On to the film.

Fair Warning : The following fan-film does contain some swearing and violence (and the French subtitles are not exactly right).

What else can I say? C'est Magnifique!

Now, since Venom was pretending to be a cop, I shall give you one picture of our radical lethal protector :
